What Are the Characteristics and Differences Between Dc Blowers and Axial Fans?
DC blowers are usually installed at the inlet and outlet of air-conditioning units, and at the inlet and outlet of boiler blowers and induced draft fans. Installation is relatively complicated. Axial fans are usually installed near the duct or in front of the duct outlet.
Structural Differences
• DC blower is generally composed of collector, motor, impeller, shell and transmission parts (such as spindle, pulley, bearing, belt, etc.). The impeller consists of a disk, blades, wheel cover and shaft disk. The housing consists of a worm plate, side plates and support legs. Blowers can use forward or backward sloping blades for a wider range of air volume and pressure requirements. In addition, the enclosure can be muffled, providing a significant advantage in terms of noise index. The motor and fan are usually connected by a shaft.
• Axial fans generally consist of an impeller, collector, cabinet and motor. The impeller consists of blades and hub, and the cabinet consists of a blower, frame plate and bracket. The blade diameter of an axial fan is limited by the diameter of the housing and the motor is usually located in the fan.
Differences In Airflow And Pressure
•Blowers have high pressure coefficients and relatively low flow coefficients, and can be categorized into high pressure (15,000 ~ 3,000 Pa), medium pressure (3,000 ~ 1,000 Pa), and low pressure (<1,000 Pa) based on pressure rating.
• Axial fans are characterized by low pressure and large flow, and are classified into high pressure (500 ~ 5000 Pa) and low pressure (<500 Pa) according to the pressure level. Low pressure is mainly used for ventilation in general places.

The Main Structural Composition of Dc Blower

In addition to the electric motor as the driving machine for high flow fans, a turbine or other driving machine can also be used.
The operator must be familiar with these regulations before starting the blower and operate the blower strictly according to these regulations:
1. Check the lubricant level of the oil tank, which should be between the upper and lower limits of the oil dipstick.
2. Notify the power substation to supply power to the blower.
3. Check the control cabinet on the machine, there should be no alarm display, if there is an alarm, identify the cause to eliminate
4. Select "Manual" status. (Touch the "Manual" key with your finger.)
5. Check whether the pressure relief valve is in the open position (pressure relief valve open green light). Check the diffuser should be placed in the minimum opening (diffuser minimum green light).


6. After the above checking and confirming that the blower can be started, press the start button and the blower will enter the startup procedure:
① Auxiliary oil pump pre-lubrication for one minute (auxiliary oil pump operation green light).
② Blower can start running (blower running green light).
③ Pressure relief valve slowly closed (pressure relief valve open green light off, two minutes after the pressure relief valve closed green light).
④ Auxiliary oil pump stop running (auxiliary oil pump running green light off, stop red light on). At this point, the blower starts successfully and can be put into formal operation.
⑤ If the blower fails to start as expected after pressing the start button, the red light of the oil pressure low alarm will be on after one minute and the whole starting process will stop. The cause must be identified and resolved.
Eliminate the alarm to restart.
7. After the blower is started, the opening degree of the diffuser can be adjusted slowly according to the production needs and controlled by the "on" and "off" keys of the diffuser to ensure the necessary wind volume.
8. When the fan is running, the fan must be monitored frequently, paying attention to the fan's current, oil temperature, oil pressure, air inlet vacuum sound, fan, temperature, vibration and other conditions.
If there is any abnormality, we should find out the reason in time and report it to the production department, and if necessary, we can take the measure of emergency stop (use with caution).
For production or maintenance, repair needs, stop a wind turbine operation.
9. Decrease the opening of the diffuser to the minimum (diffuser minimum indicator green light).
10. Touch the fan "stop" button with your finger to start the shutdown program.

DC blowers are divided into two main categories, DC and AC:
